A packed room heard inspirational talks from UoG Vice-Chancellor Anton Muscatelli, Ronnie Convery, Giovanna Eusebi and Marie McCoy. Roisìn Coll, Director of the St Andrew’s Foundation for Catholic Teacher Education chaired the session.

It’s easy to forget sometimes but the seeds of modern secularism were sown by Jesus himself in the soil of occupied Judaea. ‘Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s,’ he said, ‘and to God the things that are God’s.’

In Italy, many cities, towns and villages have a church as part of the chain of public buildings which surround the treasured public space known as the piazza.
